Pohoqualine Fish Association
Conservation Easement
History
Pohoqualine Fish Association (PFA) is one of, if not the, oldest fishing club in Monroe County. PFA has owned land alongside and protected the water quality of the McMichaels Creek for generations.
Pocono Heritage Land Trust signed a conservation easement with PFA in 2007, permanently protecting nearly 800 acres in 30 separate parcels.
Two of these parcels, totaling 536 acres, are open for public recreation. The protected lands feature hiking trails but not fishing access.
The trails wind through beautiful woods and along the headwaters creeks of the Pohoqualine Fish Association.
